Key Responsibilities

Policies, Processes & Procedures:

Adhere to all relevant departmental policies, processes, and standard operating procedures to ensure work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner. Comply with information security rules and data security measures to protect company information and intellectual properties.

Day-to-Day Operations:

Collaborate with the Lead Engineer to ensure value engineering and optimal utilization of available resources, with the objective of successful project completion. Review customer documents, specifications, and drawings to ensure construction activities align with approved procedures, method statements, and drawings. Provide inputs to draughtsmen/modelers for preparation of P&ID, typical installation practices, layouts, material selections, and material take-offs. Participate in 3D model reviews and interface checks. Review and propose improvements in existing pipe fabrication, fittings, and installation works. Oversee pressure testing and leak testing activities in accordance with specifications, codes, and standards. Responsible for reviewing piping and plumbing-related procedures and documents, including test packs. Conduct site inspections and surveys and prepare estimates. Review and prepare RFQ, MR, technical evaluation of vendor proposals, vendor selection, etc. Provide personnel appraisal and training requirements, motivating and developing subordinates. Ensure continuity of work by following day-to-day operations related to the job. Support estimation functions in manpower and material estimates for plumbing and sanitary installation jobs.

Direction of Subordinates (applicable for supervisory jobs):

Organize and supervise the activities and work of a small team of subordinates to ensure all work within piping and plumbing activities is carried out efficiently and in a procedurally compliant manner.

Continuous Improvement:

Contribute to the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement of systems, processes, and practices, taking into account international best practices, improvement of business processes, cost reduction, and productivity improvement.

Reporting:

Prepare departmental reports on time and accurately to meet company and department requirements, policies, and standards.

Safety, Quality & Environment:

Comply with all relevant safety, quality, and environmental management policies, procedures, and controls to ensure a healthy and safe work environment.

Related Assignments:

Perform other related duties or assignments as directed to contribute to the continuous operations of the department.
