We are currently seeking a skilled Credit Collections Officer who will manage an Accounts Receivable portfolio for our operations in the Middle East & Africa, including credit and collection activities to minimize credit risk while maximizing cash performance.

The role involves managing credit investigations, assessments, credit hold management and order releases; collections follow up and escalation; query and dispute resolution; customer visits; escalation to collection agencies and legal counsel; liaison with finance and reporting teams; compliance activities.

The portfolio includes sales from local offices across the region, including Abu Dhabi.

Responsibilities:

  • Gather necessary information for credit assessment and payment terms approval.
  • Support regional managers with decisions about credit risk and cash flow.
  • Support in credit assessment of new and existing customers and approve credit limits within assigned authority.
  • Provide timely information on credit checking and order holds and release notifications.
  • Responsible for account receivables collection and maintenance: contact customers, follow up on payments, and engage late payers to maximize collection efficiency.
  • Optimize collection protocols: monthly statement of account, pre-calling record customer feedback, register promise to pay, follow up on tasks and broken promises, send dunning letters, arrange customer visits, escalate to manager and commercial team.
  • Ensure funds are correctly applied to relevant customer accounts and invoices, minimizing unapplied cash.
  • Support cash application teams as needed.
  • Prepare reports per monthly schedule and ad-hoc basis for credit and financial functions.
  • Expedite customer disputes and queries by linking with Sales/Order Management/Warranty as required.
  • Inform management on effectiveness of strategies for various accounts.
  • Promote a culture of continuous process improvement and collaborate with internal stakeholders.
  • Support the Credit Centre of Excellence for major credit reviews for all customers.
  • Ensure compliance with corporate and local credit policies and other compliance requirements.
