Job Summary

RMMJ RED for Huafa Group seeks a highly experienced Senior Design Director to lead our Dubai Design Studio.

The successful candidate will have a strong track record in managing multi-disciplined design teams, developing relationships with clients, and delivering high-end projects that meet client expectations.

Main Responsibilities

  • Lead and inspire a team of designers to deliver outstanding results
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and new clients
  • Ensure all designs are grounded in a strong narrative, practical, and responsive to brief and context
  • Present design ideas and progress effectively to clients
  • Oversee major projects, providing design and technical leadership
  • Manage project commercial and financial responsibilities efficiently
  • Mentor staff to achieve professional excellence

Requirements

  1. Master's degree in architecture
  2. 20+ years of experience in architecture
  3. Excellent presentation skills
  4. A creative and enthusiastic leader to work with our team in Dubai
  5. Previous experience working in international architectural design practices
  6. Experience designing and delivering luxury hospitality, residential, and commercial projects
  7. An established portfolio of clients and contacts
  8. A proven track record of winning and developing new business opportunities
  9. Detailed knowledge of the Middle East market
  10. Ability to lead bids and tenders
  11. In-depth understanding of project commercial and financial management
  12. Familiarity with BIM and other design technologies
