Financial Controller

AlFuttaim Group, a leading regional business, is seeking a highly skilled Financial Control Specialist to join its team. As a key member of the Automotive Divisional Controlling team, you will support the Manager Financial Controlling/Financial Controller in delivering financial excellence.
Key Responsibilities:- Review and create new accounting policies to ensure compliance and accuracy.
- Provide input on new or revised account policies and ensure their implementation.
- Liaise with BU Finance to implement new accounting policy requirements.
- Provide policy guidance to BU teams through the Divisional Accounting Policy Committee and BU-specific training sessions.
- Regularly review trial balances and balance sheets to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Deliver robust, timely, and accurate financial reporting.
- Support the implementation and compliance of the Internal Controls Framework.
- Assess risks and engage with insurance partners to ensure adequate insurance coverage for the Division.
- Assist in the review of existing accounting policies and help draft or amend them.
- Contribute to the implementation of new accounting policy requirements through detailed technical analysis.
- Monitor the closing of books on a monthly basis with other SSF teams to ensure timely recognition of robust financials.
- Drive continuous improvement in monthly closing activities to ensure quality financials for business units.
Support the Manager Financial Controlling/Financial Controller in carrying out detailed reviews of key automotive accounts in the trial balance and ensuring the substantiation of balances appearing against them.

Ensure robust SSF tower processes through:
- Standardizing accounting processes
- Regular key account reconciliations
- Improved fixed asset management
- Coordinate external audits of the automotive entity by providing relevant explanations and schedules to auditors and ensuring smooth completion.
Provide support for overseas entities by reviewing current processes and sharing best practices and processes to improve standards.
Required Skills:- Advanced Excel skills
- Accounting background
- SAP and Power BI knowledge Analytical data skills
You will be reporting to the Financial Controller.
What Equips You for the Role:- ACCA/CA Intermediate equivalent qualification
- At least 2 years of relevant experience
- Strong analytical, advanced Excel, process-oriented, good communication, and presentation skills, with exposure to ERP (preferably SAP) Behavioural competencies: ability to plan and prioritize tasks, persuasive skills, Kaizen attitude, self-motivated, and a strong team player
