About the Role:

As a Network Security Specialist at Core42, you will play a critical role in ensuring the security and integrity of our cloud and AI infrastructure. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team and contribute to the design, implementation, and management of our network security infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with our Security Operations Centre, Information Security governance team, IT governance team, and business unit stakeholders to design, deploy, and manage core security infrastructure.
  • Develop and execute delivery plans in collaboration with our Cyber Security and Enterprise Architecture teams to implement security tools and capabilities.
  • Work with our Information Security teams to understand and mitigate security and availability risks.
  • Ensure the deployment of security tools has minimal impact on business operations.
  • Review changes to IT infrastructure and ensure all changes are performed in accordance with security policies.
  • Collaborate with our Technology development and network teams to implement appropriate security solutions and tools based on identified risk levels.
  • Establish clear understanding and documentation of processes related to network security infrastructure.
  • Manage and address escalations related to network security operations deliverables.
  • Review High-Level Design (HLD), Low-Level Design (LLD), run books, Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), and Handover Checklists related to Network and Security deployments.
  • Experience in managing Security Devices and Technologies such as Firewalls, Web Application Firewalls (WAF), Intrusion Prevention/ Detection Systems (IPS/IDS), Authentication Services, Virtual Private Networks (VPN), Multiprotocol Label Switching (MPLS), Load Balancing (LTM), Packet Broker, Proxy.
  • Review Security Architecture and IT Disaster Recovery Setup.
  • Support the implementation of Public Key Infrastructure (PKI).
  • Post-Implementation Review of changes on Security Devices.
  • Support technology integration and implementation of security controls, hardening of IT and Security Devices.
  • Assist in IT and Security Incident resolution and CSIRT tabletop exercises.
  • Review Periodic Health Checks on Security Tools.
  • Leverage security automation tooling and develop playbooks and workflows based on operational use cases.
  • Maintain detailed knowledge of emerging threats, risks, technical innovations, and security capabilities.
  • Experience working in a Security Engineering or Security Operations capacity within an enterprise organization.
  • Detailed understanding of vulnerability management within IT hardware and software operating system layers to include hardening, patching, anti-virus, Advanced Persistent Threats (APT), Distributed Denial-of-Service (DDOS).
  • Knowledge of NIST and/or ISO 27001 security frameworks.
  • Knowledge of Cloud Security technologies.
  • Ability to generate high-quality, accessible solution documentation.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Technology or related field.
  • Security specialist certifications such as CISCO SCOR, Azure/AWS security specialist.
  • 10+ years of Security Architecture, Security Operations, Security solutions implementation experience.
  • Working for a Security Operations in a large Enterprise is an added plus.
  • Proven ability to manage Security Operations in collaboration with various internal teams and external entities such as system integration vendors and enterprise security specialists.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, interpersonal and collaborative skills, and the ability to communicate complex concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Must be a critical thinker, with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Must possess Excellent Reporting Skills.
  • Ability to lead and motivate cross-functional, interdisciplinary teams to achieve tactical and strategic goals.
  • Solid knowledge of Security Architecture, High Availability concepts, and Network Architecture Concepts.
  • A practical and proactive problem-solver who possesses strong business acumen and is confident, mature, and calm.
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize and multitask and work under shifting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills ability to work in a team environment.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal direction, self-starter/self-motivated.
  • Willingness and aptitude to learn new programming languages and new development tooling.
  • Create detailed report of findings and recommendations after testing is complete and present to stakeholders.
  • Stay up-to-date in current tools, techniques, and vulnerabilities to incorporate into testing practices.
  • Good understanding of PCI DSS, NESA, SOC, and GDPR security guidelines.
  • Good hands-on experience in IT Service Management (ITSM) tools such as Service Now.
