Job Description

Wood PLC is seeking a highly skilled Talent Acquisition Specialist to join our team in Dubai, UAE.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage the full resourcing life cycle for assigned business areas, including talent planning, sourcing, engagement, screening, assessment, and hiring of suitable candidates within agreed cost and timescales.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to hiring managers, business leaders, and candidates.
  • Daily interaction with hiring managers to ensure effective delivery of resources against open vacancies.
  • Deliver an ethical and customer-focused resourcing service.
  • Senior recruiters may act as focal points for specific business areas or projects and deputise for leads during periods of leave.
Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for managing resourcing delivery for a particular function/specialism/business area, working with hiring managers to fulfill current and future resource requirements.
  • Attend relevant resource meetings with stakeholders to provide updates on vacancy progress, discuss assessment outcomes, and obtain lookahead.
  • Utilize available talent attraction and engagement tools to identify relevant candidates.
  • Promote vacancies and employer brand to the relevant audience via available media channels.
  • Match candidate skills with role requirements, taking initiative to explore areas of importance or relevance with hiring managers and candidates.
  • Identify and recommend the most effective assessment method for particular roles/specialisms and utilize available tools.
  • Guide hiring managers through structured interview processes, ensuring adherence to legal and ethical obligations throughout candidate assessments.
  • Influence candidates throughout the hiring process to promote a successful outcome, preempting and acting on candidate hesitation or queries.
  • Maintain open and proactive lines of communication with candidates, ensuring a positive experience regardless of application outcomes.
  • Provide timely and detailed feedback to candidates at every stage of their application, particularly following interviews.
  • Make job offers and coordinate negotiation processes between candidates and business, interfacing with P&O on contractual queries and coordinating responses.
  • Collate market data to support talent planning initiatives and processes (candidate availability, rate information, mobility, etc.).
  • Proactively obtain accurate forecast data and develop a pipeline of suitably qualified and available talent for current and future projects.
  • Manage vacancies through ATS, ensuring candidate and vacancy data are accurate and up-to-date.
  • Comply with company and legislative data protection requirements by responsibly storing candidate information and assessment notes.
  • Facilitate the effective movement of candidates through the resourcing process, encouraging proactive feedback from hiring managers and collaborating with Global Mobility/P&O teams to ensure timely release of employment contracts and mobilization processes for new hires.
  • Provide feedback from business areas on aspects of the resourcing process requiring improvement or elements that are particularly effective.
  • Ensure consistent alignment to company values and behaviors.
Requirements:

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A degree-level qualification (desirable but not essential).
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in In-House or Agency roles within the Oil and Gas sector.
  • A proven track record of excellent customer service and effective teamwork, with the ability to work autonomously.
  • Proven interpersonal and communication skills, demonstrated at all levels of the business.
  • Proven capability of managing a varied workload in a fast-paced environment.
  • Iraq Projects experience is preferred.
  • Arabic language is an added advantage.

Salary: AED 15,000 - AED 20,000 per month, depending on experience.
