We are seeking a highly skilled Data Center Operations Manager to join our team at Amazon. In this role, you will be responsible for the overall operation and maintenance of our data centers in India.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in engineering and operations management, with experience managing large-scale services. You will lead a team of shift engineers, senior shift technicians, and sub-contractors, ensuring that all work performed is in accordance with established practices and procedures.
You will also participate in strategic planning projects, conduct financial analysis, and contribute to financial decisions. Additionally, you will manage 5 or more direct reports, negotiate contracts and space, and oversee the build out of facility-specific infrastructure in existing locations.
Key Responsibilities- Shift Management: Responsible for the on-site management of shift engineers, senior shift technicians, chief engineer, sub-contractors, and vendors.
- Aavailability Zone Management: Has primary responsibility for the availability zone of Data Centers (2-4 locations).
- Strategic Planning: Participates in strategic planning projects.
- Financial Analysis: Conducts financial analysis and contributes to financial decisions.
- Education: An engineering degree or equivalent in an Electrical or Mechanical discipline.
- Experience: 10+ years of relevant engineering experience managing large scale services.
- Leadership: At least 3 years building strong, successful technical teams in a similar culture.
