About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Cybersecurity Associate to join our team at ALDAR. As a key member of our Information Security team, you will play a critical role in protecting our technology landscape from emerging threats.

Key Responsibilities
  • Threat Detection and Response: Proactively identify and detect potential intrusion attempts, data exfiltration, and lateral movement across our cloud and on-prem environments.
  • Security Device Management: Update and configure security devices such as Firewalls, Web Application Firewalls, Email Gateways, and SIEM systems to ensure optimal security posture.
  • Custom Detection Rules and Queries: Develop and implement custom detection rules and queries to identify threats in cloud IaaS, PaaS, API abuse, and on-prem environments.
  • Incident Response and Management: Work closely with our Security Operations Center (SOC) to monitor security logs, detect anomalies, and respond to security incidents in a timely manner.
  • Container Security and DevSecOps: Implement and maintain container security monitoring solutions to ensure the integrity and security of containerized applications running in cloud environments.
  • API Security and Monitoring: Utilize API security tools to monitor and protect cloud APIs from abuse, unauthorized access, and injection attacks.
  • Security Logging and Incident Investigation: Investigate security incidents, review security logs of critical business applications and infrastructure, and provide actionable recommendations to strengthen our security posture.
  • Serverless Security Monitoring: Implement serverless security monitoring and anomaly detection to detect potential threats targeting serverless application development.
  • Security Assessments and Recommendations: Conduct regular security assessments to identify vulnerabilities and provide actionable recommendations to strengthen our security environment.
  • Security Incident Reporting and Follow-up: Identify and report security incidents promptly, follow up with IT administrators on the status of security incidents, and coordinate with the SOC team to resolve identified security incidents.
  • Security Data Analysis and Reporting: Collate security incident data, prepare information security dashboards, and provide regular security reports to stakeholders.
  • Cloud and On-Prem Monitoring Strategies: Continuously review and enhance cloud and on-prem monitoring strategies to stay ahead of emerging threats and cloud environment changes.
Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in security assessments and threat detection.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Knowledge of information security standards and regulatory requirements to ensure compliance and best practices.
  • Technical proficiency in security-related hardware and software to design and implement effective security solutions.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or a technical discipline relevant to IT security and one or more relevant security certifications (e.g., AZ-500, CKS, CCSP+).
