About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Director to lead our Vaccines Platform team at GSK. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for driving the development and implementation of our vaccine manufacturing platforms.

Key Responsibilities
  • Technical Leadership: Provide technical guidance and oversight to ensure the successful development and implementation of our vaccine manufacturing platforms.
  • Team Management: Lead and manage a team of technical experts to drive the development and implementation of our vaccine manufacturing platforms.
  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement changes to optimize our vaccine manufacturing platforms.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) and relevant regulations in the US, EU, and ROW.
  • Digital Solutions: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement digital solutions that enhance vaccine unit operations and technology.
  • Strategic Planning: Contribute to the development of strategic plans to drive the growth and success of our vaccine business.
Requirements
  • Education: BSc, MSc, or PhD in a related scientific discipline such as chemical engineering, chemistry, pharmacy, or pharmaceutical engineering.
  • Experience: 15+ years of experience in a scientific, biochemistry, chemical, or pharmaceutical engineering field, with 7-10+ years of experience in leading technical teams across multiple geographical areas.
  • Skills: In-depth knowledge of vaccine manufacturing platforms and technology evolutions, deep working knowledge of scale-up, technical transfer, and process change management/improvement, and excellent management, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Independent Work: Ability to work independently and follow through on assignments and delivery of the GSK GCS strategy without direction.
  • Dynamic Environment: Ability to perform within a dynamic and stressful environment and to remain calm under pressure and during conflict.
  • Leadership Experience: Background and experience in leading platform/technology/manufacturing teams, leading and managing groups with specialist expertise.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to analyze problems, practices, or procedures to define the problem or objective, identify relevant concerns or factors, identify patterns, tendencies, and relationships, formulate logical and objective conclusions, and recognize alternatives and their implications.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Ability to interact effectively and appropriately with customers in other functions and beyond, senior management, and coworkers.
