The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in the Burns Intensive Care Unit, working closely with the multidisciplinary team to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.
Key Responsibilities- Care and Assessment of Burns Patients: The successful candidate will be responsible for demonstrating competence in the care and assessment of burns patients, including the prevention of complications and analysis of burns wounds related to the source of the burn.
- Implementation of the Burns Pathway: The candidate will demonstrate knowledge and competence with the Burns Pathway and implement the pathway with the multidisciplinary team.
- Invasive Hemodynamic Monitoring: The successful candidate will demonstrate knowledge on invasive hemodynamic monitoring.
- Medications Management: The candidate will demonstrate knowledge on the medications indications, contra-indications, effect and side effects, including inotropic support, vasopressors and sedation.
- Non-Invasive Ventilation: The successful candidate will demonstrate knowledge on non-invasive ventilation.
- Prevention of Ventilator Associated Pneumonia (VAP): The candidate will demonstrate knowledge and competence of the prevention of VAP and be consistently compliant with VAP bundles.
- Prevention of Central Line Associated Blood Stream Infections (CLABSI): The successful candidate will demonstrate knowledge and competence of the prevention of CLABSI and be consistently compliant with CLABSI bundles.
- Prevention of Catheter Associated Urinary Tract Infections (CAUTI): The candidate will demonstrate knowledge and competence of the prevention of CAUTI and be consistently compliant with CAUTI bundles.
- CUSP Program: The successful candidate will demonstrate knowledge and competence of the CUSP program and be proactive in identifying and reducing risk of harm to patients.
