Star Services LLC is seeking a highly skilled Measurement and Verification Associate Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our Energy Services team, you will be responsible for coordinating measurement and verification activities with our Energy Audit Implementation and Project Management teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate measurement and verification activities with the Energy Audit Implementation and Project Management teams during proposal energy audit design, construction, and commissioning periods.
  • Review design intent and savings calculations to ensure accuracy and compliance with industry standards.
  • Track energy bills and validate performance assurance to ensure optimal energy efficiency.
  • Participate in data collection and performance verification of retrofitted equipment to ensure accurate measurement and verification.
  • Conduct on-site measurements and short-term data collection during construction and post-retrofit periods as required.
  • Review building baselines and develop baseline adjustments based on site reviews to ensure accurate measurement and verification.
  • Perform on-site troubleshooting and data logging to validate and correct project performance.
  • Determine and forecast shortfall pay-outs and notify management of potential savings shortfall.
  • Develop measurement and verification plans, reports, and protocols for Energy Services Performance Contracting (ESPC) projects.
  • Support measurement protocols for different Energy Conservation Measures (ECMs).
  • Attend and coordinate client meetings for measurement and verification activities.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Science (Energy Engineering preferred).
  • Certified Measurement and Verification Professional (CMVP) certification (desired).
  • Valid driver's license (desired).
  • Minimum 24 years of experience in engineering and energy savings calculations for performance contracting.
  • Experience in executing implementation and practice of measurement and verification protocols and guidelines (IPMVP).
  • Good knowledge of engineering and operations of HVAC controls and electrical systems.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, including computational functions.
  • Experience with energy analysis tools.

Work Environment:

This is a non-remote position, requiring on-site work at our office location.
