Job Summary

Duncan & Ross is seeking a highly skilled MEP Quality Assurance Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality of Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) installations within our projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Implement Quality Plans: Create and maintain project-specific quality plans, inspection and test plans, and quality control procedures for MEP works.
  • Ensure Compliance with Specifications and Codes: Verify that all MEP installations meet project specifications, industry standards, and local codes.
  • Review and Approve Submittals: Evaluate and approve MEP material submittals, shop drawings, and method statements.
  • Conduct Regular Inspections and Audits: Perform regular inspections and audits of MEP installations to ensure compliance with approved designs and quality standards.
  • Coordinate Testing and Commissioning: Supervise all MEP testing and commissioning activities, including HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and electrical systems.
  • Document and Report Non-Conformances: Document and report all non-conformances, ensuring that corrective actions are implemented promptly.
  • Liaise with Construction Team: Collaborate with the construction team, MEP subcontractors, and consultants to resolve quality-related issues.
  • Attend Project Meetings: Participate in project meetings to provide updates on QA/QC activities and progress.
  • Maintain Project Documentation: Ensure that all project documentation, including inspection reports and test records, is properly maintained and submitted.
  • Provide Training and Guidance: Offer training and guidance to site teams on QA/QC best practices and MEP standards.
  • Stay Updated on Industry Trends: Stay current on the latest industry trends, standards, and technologies related to MEP systems.
  • Ensure Compliance with HSE Policies: Ensure that all QA/QC activities are carried out in compliance with the company's HSE policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Immediate Availability: Candidates must be immediately available and currently based in the UAE.
  • Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or related Engineering discipline, with a minimum of 5 years of experience in QA/QC roles within the construction industry, with a focus on MEP works.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Previous experience working with a main contractor, strong knowledge of MEP systems, installation procedures, and industry standards, proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
