Job Description:

  • The position of Stormwater Design Engineer at AECOM is responsible for developing and executing stormwater management plans.

  • This includes designing and analyzing stormwater drainage systems, flood control solutions, and water quality measures to ensure compliance with local regulations.

  • The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of hydrology, hydraulics, and stormwater regulations, as well as proficiency in hydraulic modeling software such as SWMM, InfoWorks ICM, and AutoCAD Civil 3D.

  • They will also be able to create design drawings, reports, and technical documentation for stormwater infrastructure including storm drains, culverts, and retention ponds.

  • In addition, the candidate should be able to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate stormwater solutions into larger site development projects.

  • Responsibilities also include ensuring compliance with permitting and approvals processes, and developing designs that adhere to quality standards.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or a related field, with a Master's degree being a plus.

  • No less than 5 to 8 years of experience in stormwater modeling and design.

  • Excellent communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills are essential.

  • The ability to work on multiple projects and deadlines with attention to detail is also required.
