About the Role

We are the leading provider of maintenance, repair and overhaul services, and comprehensive lifecycle support for land platforms, heavy utility vehicles and ground support equipment of the UAE Armed Forces. Key Responsibilities:
  1. Set up and operate a wide variety of CNC and conventional machine tools to accomplish the manufacturing and maintenance mission.
  2. Occasionally perform machine programming using various types of CNC/NC machine tools utilizing ISO or OEM in-built machining applications in the absence of the designated CNC Programmer.
  3. Set up and operate Flame Spray Metallising machines.
  4. Read and interpret blueprints, technical diagrams and schematics to accomplish precision machining according to part specifications.
  5. Ensure that complete final inspections are performed on all machining to ensure a quality product is delivered to the customer.
  6. Verify the conformance of finished machining using conventional or digital precision measuring instruments.
  7. Comply with all safety, housekeeping and environmental directives.
  8. Maintain all equipment by undertaking all user preventive maintenance requirements.
  9. Ensure all issued tools, uniforms and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is accounted for, maintained and secured.
  10. Maintain the confidentiality and security of all company information.
  11. Support other members of the Fabrication Workshop in fulfilling their roles.
  12. Perform other duties as required by their line manager and the Manager, Fabrication.
Requirements
  1. A high school diploma is required, a college diploma or basic machine shop certification is preferred.
  2. A minimum of two years of experience performing various programming for precision machining is required; in a manufacturing industry or in the automotive industry is preferred.
  3. A minimum of one year of experience as a CNC operator is required.
Preferred Skills
  1. Previous military or automotive industry experience is an advantage.
  2. The ability to interpret blueprints and engineering drawings/schematics is required.
  3. The ability to read and use conventional and digital precision measuring instruments and tools is required.
