This position requires collaboration with diverse teams to ensure the durability and dependability of piping systems, adhering to industry standards and project specifications.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Execute piping stress evaluations utilizing industry-standard software, such as Caesar II, to determine the structural soundness of piping systems under various operational scenarios, including pressure, temperature, and dynamic forces.
  • Design and select pipe supports to alleviate stress concentrations and guarantee adherence to pertinent codes and standards (e.g., ASME B31.3, API 610).
  • Examine piping design specifications, isometric drawings, and stress-critical lines to detect potential challenges and suggest design improvements or enhancements.
  • Work alongside piping designers, process engineers, and other stakeholders to refine piping configurations and support setups for effective installation and maintenance.
  • Engage in project meetings, technical assessments, and HAZOP studies to offer expert guidance on piping stress-related issues and aid in risk management strategies.
  • Draft technical reports, calculations, and documentation to support project outcomes and regulatory compliance.
  • Mentor and guide junior engineers while fostering continuous professional development initiatives within the team.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline; a Master's degree is preferred.
  • A minimum of 7 years of experience in piping stress evaluation for upstream oil and gas projects.
  • Expertise in utilizing piping stress analysis software, such as Caesar II or similar tools.
  • Comprehensive understanding of industry standards and codes, including ASME B31.3, API 610, ASCE 7, etc.
  • A professional engineering license (PE) or eligibility for licensure is advantageous.
  • Previous experience in offshore or subsea projects is a plus.
