We are looking for a highly skilled Accounting Clerk to join our accounting team at Sheraton Grand Hotel, Dubai.

About the Position:

The successful candidate will be responsible for controlling and managing daily hotel revenues, preparing and reviewing daily sales and cover reports, and monitoring and controlling complimentary rooms and food/beverages.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Ensure accurate and compliant financial management of daily hotel revenues.
  2. Prepare and review daily sales and cover reports, including reconciliations and analysis.
  3. Manage complimentary rooms and food/beverages, maintaining accurate records and accounts.
  4. Present daily paid outs, rebates, and corrections for approval, ensuring timely processing and reconciliation.
  5. Filer all income-related documents, maintaining organized and secure storage.
  6. Verify and balance daily cash, paid outs, and tips with the General Cashier, ensuring accuracy and adherence to financial policies.
  7. Collaborate with the General Cashier and Accounts Receivable to reconcile CL payments and credit cards, resolving any discrepancies or issues.
  8. Distribute CL rebates to the appropriate accounts, maintaining accurate records and accounts.
  9. Ensure effective restaurant check control, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records.

Requirements:

  • High School Certificate or equivalent.
  • Certificate/Degree in Accountancy or academic equivalent.
  • Fluency in written and spoken English.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar position or at least 3 years in Hotel Administration/related field.
