Job Summary

Petrofac Emirates is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Construction Project Manager to oversee the supervision of construction activities and field personnel related to the civil discipline. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction management, with a focus on ensuring the highest quality standards and administering good construction safety practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise construction activities and field personnel to ensure compliance with project specifications and procedures.
  • Monitor daily construction details and progress, identifying and addressing any issues or concerns.
  • Implement and maintain construction work processes, project procedures, and instructions within assigned operations.
  • Ensure that materials handed over to subcontractors are controlled, preserved, and issued for the intended purpose.
  • Collaborate with the Superintendent or Senior Construction Engineer to provide solutions to subcontractors' problems and ensure successful project execution.
  • Develop and implement strategies to promote job site safety, encourage safe work practices, and rectify job site hazards immediately.
  • Prepare reports and forecasts relating to construction progress, job manpower forecasts, and other relevant data.
  • Monitor the activities of subcontractors to ensure compliance with specifications and procedures.
  • Provide inputs on lessons, constructability issues, best practices in construction Observation Form.
  • Perform independent tasks with exposure to subcontractor management, procedure development, and site activity progress monitoring.
  • Generate ITR / Check sheets for construction and ensure modifications or changes done on-site are issued for as-built updates.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent from an accredited college or university.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to read AFC civil and structural drawings, as well as structural fabrication drawings.
