Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Data Modeler to join our innovative Data team. As a Data Modeler, you will play a crucial role in shaping our data architecture by translating business needs into robust data models. Your work will enable our teams to make data-driven decisions with efficiency and accuracy.

The successful candidate will have deep domain expertise, up-to-date knowledge of industry best practices, and a proactive approach to building scalable data solutions. They will collaborate with stakeholders to understand and translate their requirements into efficient data models, develop and maintain conceptual, logical, and physical data models on the data warehouse platform, and act as a data advocate in discussions with stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with Stakeholders: Work closely with business units and data analysts to understand and translate their requirements into scalable, efficient data models.
  • Develop and Maintain Data Models: Design, develop, and maintain conceptual, logical, and physical data models on the data warehouse platform to support business processes.
  • Data Advocacy: Act as a data advocate in discussions with stakeholders, guiding data-driven decisions and fostering a culture of data literacy.
  • Dependency and Project Management: Manage dependencies and timelines effectively, ensuring alignment with project goals.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in data modeling or a similar role.
  • Data Modeling Expertise: Proficient in conceptual, logical, and physical data modeling, with strong knowledge of data warehousing concepts and schemas.
  • Technical Proficiency: Advanced SQL skills and experience with data manipulation languages like Python; familiarity with Snowflake (preferred) or similar platforms.
