Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly qualified Academic Researcher to join our team at the University of Sharjah. As a Medical Laboratory Sciences Professor, you will be responsible for teaching courses in the field of Medical Laboratory Sciences/Biomedical Sciences, including Clinical Chemistry, Clinical Biochemistry, Advanced Clinical Chemistry, Laboratory Management and Quality Assurance, and Advanced Laboratory Techniques.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach and mentor undergraduate and graduate students in Medical Laboratory Sciences/Biomedical Sciences courses.
  • Develop and run a dynamic research program, including the preparation of research proposals, securing intramural as well as extramural research funds, and conducting innovative research work in your area of interest.
  • Participate in program and curriculum development, as well as in the program accreditation process.
  • Collaborate with faculty members to develop and implement research projects and initiatives.
  • Contribute to the development of the department's research agenda and strategic plan.

Requirements:

  • Ph.D. in Medical Laboratory Sciences, Biomedical Sciences, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in teaching and research in Medical Laboratory Sciences/Biomedical Sciences.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
