Main Responsibilities

We are seeking a highly skilled Sommelier to join our team at Asterix Communications. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of wine and be able to provide exceptional service to our guests.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Providing wine recommendations to guests based on their preferences and dietary restrictions
  • Ensuring that all wine orders are accurately processed and delivered to the correct table
  • Maintaining a thorough knowledge of wine varieties, including grapes, harvest times, and origin
  • Assisting the Bar and Beverage Manager in creating wine lists and maintaining stock levels
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you will need:

  • A high school qualification or equivalent
  • A degree or higher national diploma in hospitality, hotel, or business management
  • A specific diploma or degree in wines and beverages (WSET, CMS)
  • Extensive experience as a Sommelier or Beverage Manager in a standalone restaurant with a high level of service
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
