  • Supervise the Contractor's construction planning and execution to ensure alignment with project goals, strategies, and requirements.
  • Establish a construction framework to execute project plans and procedures while coordinating the staffing of construction roles.
  • Provide strategic support to the Project Team through construction oversight and guidance.
  • Ensure compliance with project safety standards, policies, and procedures by the Contractor and Subcontractors.
  • Lead the creation of an Integrated Safety Plan for construction, including SIMOPS for all island and brownfield operations.
  • Assist in the evaluation and execution of all Contractor safety plans.
  • Facilitate collaboration and interactions between the Contractor and other projects, production operations, and drilling activities.
  • Manage the relationship with offshore operations to carry out brownfield projects while minimizing disruptions to ongoing production.
  • Verify that detailed design outputs support constructability.
  • Report on construction progress, performance metrics, initiatives, and challenges to the Project Team.
  • Guide construction planning teams in identifying risks and opportunities.
  • Champion construction-related readiness assessments, constructability reviews, and critical evaluation reviews.
  • Play a pivotal role in mentoring and developing UAE Nationals in construction management.
  • Effectively communicate short-term and long-term objectives to direct reports that align with project goals.
  • Recognize and reward exceptional performance, ensuring regular appraisals and professional development for staff.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent extensive site experience in a senior capacity.
  • Preferred Professional Engineer accreditation.
  • A minimum of twenty (20) years of experience in construction management on large-scale oil and gas development projects.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills (both written and verbal) with the ability to collaborate across diverse cultures.
