About the Role
iTech Engineering Consultancy is seeking a highly skilled BIM MEP Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our project team, you will play a crucial role in developing and analyzing the virtual construction process to maximize construction efficiency and job cost savings.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain BIM models for project-specific requirements, including schematic and detailed level models of MEP systems, structure, and architectural elements.
- Collaborate with BIM service providers and subcontractors to ensure seamless coordination and data exchange.
- Configure and administer common data environments, including ACC Collaboration.
- Responsible for model administration, including updating as-built and revised Building Information Models.
- Derive material quantities and develop the modeling schedule.
- Prepare 4D simulations and define scopes of work, evaluate site problems, and issue RFIs.
- Conduct site inspections and liaise with trade contractors.
- Update and distribute documents and models to subcontractors and maintain control logs.
- Prepare and maintain submittal logs and expediting logs for BIM models.
- Attend and manage model coordination meetings and document project preconstruction/BIM meetings.
- Coordinate models with internal and subcontractor detailers and modelers, record coordination sign-offs.
- Create shop drawings and as-built drawings.
- Assist the project team with construction coordination and scheduling.
- Identify model constructability issues and propose solutions.
Requirements
- A degree in Engineering, with a Mechanical background.
- Minimum 5 years of project experience, with duties as a lead coordinator-engineer or equivalent.
- Autodesk Certified Professional.
- Ability to read and understand plans, specifications, and BIM modeling.
- Intermediate to advanced working knowledge and experience with Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, and typically used terminology, standards, and practices.
Preferred Qualifications
- Autodesk Certification.
