Job Summary

Georgia-Pacific LLC is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Wood Inventory Coordinator. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the accurate and efficient management of wood inventory levels, as well as providing support for on-going safety and housekeeping processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Utilize a computerized system to record supplier identification data, quality data, and truck weights for inbound and outbound trucks.
  • Inspect incoming loads to ensure quality wood specifications and record data for each load received at the mill.
  • Provide support for on-going safety and housekeeping processes, including maintaining a safe and clean work environment.
  • Work with logging contractors and foresters to assist in correcting wood quality issues and maintaining wood inventory levels.
  • Report daily usage and inventory levels to accounting, wood and fiber supply, and mill personnel.
  • Create and provide reports relative to wood inventories, deliveries, and wood quality.
  • Maintain strict adherence to safety rules and regulations, including wearing safety equipment.
  • Perform work in a hot, humid, cold, and noisy industrial environment.
  • Work overtime, variable start/end times, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Experience using a computer, including typing, sending emails, and using a mouse.
  • Experience reading a tape measure.
  • Experience tracking inventory levels.
  • Experience with wood quality control.
  • Customer service and/or sales experience.
  • Experience with Microsoft Outlook/Excel/Word.
  • Experience creating reports.
  • Experience using a scale to weigh trucks.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in a similar role or industry.
  • Knowledge of wood products and inventory management.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
