Job Summary

Wood is seeking a highly experienced Principal Piping Engineer to lead the delivery of piping engineering services for our projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, budgeting, organizing, and controlling piping engineering deliverables to ensure timely and quality project execution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement piping engineering work scopes, ensuring alignment with project objectives and client requirements.
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to project teams, ensuring adherence to engineering codes, standards, and client policies.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless project execution, including design development, construction, pre-commissioning, and start-up.
  • Identify and mitigate potential project risks, ensuring timely and quality delivery.
  • Collaborate with clients and stakeholders to ensure project objectives are met, and client expectations are exceeded.

Requirements

  • Minimum 15+ years of experience in piping engineering, with a strong background in project delivery.
  • Proven track record of leading high-performing project teams and delivering complex projects on time and within budget.
  • Excellent technical and leadership skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with clients, stakeholders, and project teams.
  • Strong understanding of engineering codes, standards, and client policies, with the ability to apply this knowledge to ensure project compliance.
  • Experience working on brownfield projects, preferably in the oil and gas industry.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Experience working with multi-national and multi-cultural project teams.
  • Previous experience working on Iraq projects.
