Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate Purchase Orders: Analyze purchase orders to plan and schedule production operations, ensuring timely delivery of products.
  • Master Production Planning: Create and manage the master production plan to establish the sequence and lead time of each operation.
  • Resource Planning: Plan and prioritize resources to ensure maximum performance and minimum delay.
  • Inventory Management: Regularly monitor critical inventory levels to identify and act on shortages or bottlenecks of supplies.
  • Production Schedule Management: Modify or adjust the production schedule based on engineering changes and material shortages.
  • Production Monitoring: Monitor the execution of the production plan to ensure orders are fulfilled within budget, timeline, and meet customer demands.
  • Problem-Solving: Investigate production problems, analyze root causes, and provide solutions to improve processes.
  • System Utilization: Utilize and leverage the SAP planning system to maintain an accurate database of inventory and process flow.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with all teams to expedite the flow of materials and documents to meet production schedules.
  • Reporting: Prepare and provide regular production status updates to key stakeholders and suggest ways to improve efficiency.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years' experience in production planning and scheduling of multiple projects.
  • Education: Minimum requirement of an Associate or Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, Operations Management, Materials Management, Supply Chain, or related field.
  • Preferred Qualifications: 5+ years of related supply chain business experience, including production planning in a similar industry. Preferred certification in CIPS (Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply), APICS, CPIM, or CSCP.

Key Skills:

  • Planning and Organization: Ability to plan and organize production operations to meet deadlines.
  • Production Management: Experience in managing production operations, including scheduling and prioritization.
  • Analytical Thinking: Strong analytical skills to evaluate purchase orders and production schedules.
  • Inventory Management: Ability to manage inventory levels and identify shortages or bottlenecks.
  • Communication and Influencing: Strong communication and influencing skills to collaborate with teams and stakeholders.
  • Lean Manufacturing Principles: Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles to improve processes and efficiency.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to investigate and resolve production problems.
  • Material Requirement Planning / SAP Systems: Proficiency in material requirement planning and SAP systems.
  • Mathematical / Statistical Skills: Strong mathematical and statistical skills to analyze data and make informed decisions.
  • Microsoft Office: Proficiency in Microsoft Office to prepare reports and updates.
