Position Overview:
We are looking for a Strategy Specialist to join the Strategy Business Development & Market Impact Division within the Business & Project Development Department. This division is responsible for key areas including Strategy & Business Development, Market Intelligence, Economic & Financial Analysis, and overall program support. The primary responsibility of the Strategy Specialist is to evaluate the strategic implications of the external business environment on the company's strategy and business outcomes. This includes collecting and analyzing shareholder expectations, macroeconomic trends, market research data, and actual business performance metrics.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as a Strategy Advisor for the Liquid to Chemical program, offering strategic insights and process-related guidance.
- Deliver commercial and technical expertise in executing the downstream strategy, including assessing strategic options and developing implementation plans.
- Lead the development and updates of the LTC Strategy in collaboration with various Subject Matter Experts across different business and support lines.
- Generate and propose strategic alternatives to management, supported by thorough analysis.
- Initiate, organize, and oversee management-approved studies and investigations related to planning and program execution.
- Provide expert support to ensure project success within the concerned division.
- Mentor, train, and develop emerging professionals in the field.
Qualifications:
- Relocation Requirement: This position necessitates the candidate to permanently relocate.
- A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Economics, Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or a closely related field is required.
- An MBA or a relevant advanced degree is highly preferred.
- A minimum of 15 years of experience in strategy development, strategic planning, and scenario planning within the oil and gas and petrochemicals sectors is essential.
- A combination of technical, operational, commercial, and strategic experience is highly desirable.
