Key ResponsibilitiesResearch and Business Development

  • The ideal candidate will participate in business development efforts by building a network within the start-up ecosystem and VC community in targeted markets.
  • Maintaining a deal pipeline database and ensuring that all information on current and potential investments is updated on a regular basis is crucial.
  • Preparing high-quality reports, research papers, analysis, and presentations is required.
Investment Execution and Portfolio Management
  • Initial screening of investment opportunities against CE-Ventures' investment criteria will be undertaken by the successful candidate.
  • Building financial models for evaluating investment opportunities and providing strategic recommendations is essential.
  • Assisting investment managers/department head with commercial and financial due diligence on companies, performing market research and financial analysis, including review of historical and projected financial information, conducting potential returns analysis and scenario modelling is required.
  • Developing investment papers for review by investment managers/department head is necessary.
  • Supporting all aspects of investment management of portfolio companies, including monitoring operational performance, analysing periodic financial statements, preparing monthly update reports and valuations, is critical.
  • Supporting transaction work related to divestitures, including preparing all required information and analysis, is also required.
