KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead project meetings and workshops to relay scheduling updates, address issues, and foster teamwork.
  • Establish and uphold a risk management framework, pinpointing potential project hazards and crafting mitigation plans.
  • Guide and mentor junior scheduling engineers and project team members in best practices and methodologies.
  • Ensure adherence to industry standards, regulations, and company protocols in all planning activities.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline; a Master's degree is advantageous.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in planning and scheduling for large-scale construction projects, with at least 5 years in a senior or leadership capacity.
  • Expertise in project management software (Primavera P6, MS Project) and the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • In-depth knowledge of construction methodologies, processes, and project management principles.
  • Outstanding analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the capacity to lead and collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects concurrently and meet stringent deadlines.
  • Familiarity with contract management and cost control processes is a plus.
  • Professional certifications in project management (e.g., PMP, PMISP) are highly regarded.
  • Experience with Building Information Modeling (BIM) and integrated project delivery (IPD) techniques.
  • Understanding of scheduling methodologies, including critical path method (CPM) and earned value management (EVM).
