About The Role

We are seeking to hire a dynamic and passionate litigator to join our team and play an integral role in our climate and nature litigation projects. You'll support our Managing Lawyer in pursuing our international work as part of the successful Forest Litigation Collaborative and Litigation for Nature projects.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting legal research to build case theories and supporting case management
  • Drafting pre-action correspondence and working with other NGOs to keep up to date with developments
  • Assisting in identifying and pursuing funding opportunities
  • Playing an active role in developing and implementing communication strategies to publicise our projects
  • Collaborating with our team to achieve our goals and objectives

To Be Successful, You Will Have
  • A Law degree and a legal professional qualification, ideally in English or Scots law
  • Experience in litigation
  • Demonstrated rigorous legal analysis and drafting skills
  • Outstanding written and oral communication skills
  • A passion for and commitment to combatting biodiversity loss and climate disaster
  • The ability to multitask and work collaboratively with a team and independently
