As a Senior Wayfinding Designer at WSP, you will be responsible for providing creative direction, design leadership, and project management expertise on a diverse range of projects across the region. You will collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to deliver innovative design solutions that meet client objectives and exceed industry standards.

This position offers an excellent opportunity to lead and contribute to impactful projects focused on elevating user experience within built environments. You'll engage in a vibrant mix of creativity, problem-solving, and collaborative tasks, providing the perfect platform for your innovative work. This includes strategizing and developing human-centered design solutions across a range of mediums, including wayfinding, public art, landscape, lighting, and digital technologies.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, contributing to projects from concept through execution. The ideal candidate is passionate about design thinking and has a deep understanding of how to seamlessly design and integrate user experience solutions to elevate spaces and enhance interactions.

Your New Role, What's Involved?
  • Lead the conceptualization, design development, and implementation of multiple projects from inception till completion.
  • Develop creative direction and execution of placemaking projects, ensuring alignment with project goals and client expectations.
  • Conduct client workshops to understand and define client aspirations.
  • Define project principles and vision aligned with project goals.
  • Identify and categorize end users.
  • Develop user journeys to outline the vision and experience intended for the development.
  • Create compelling narratives and presentations to effectively communicate strategy and design proposals to clients and project stakeholders.
  • Coordinate and work closely with wider teams of architects, interior designers, and other stakeholders to propose integrated design solutions that meet clients' requirements.
  • Develop the way of working for project delivery and ensure process flows are established, published, and communicated.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to the team, fostering a culture of creativity, excellence, and collaboration.
  • Demonstrate expertise in design software, such as AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, Revit, AI Tools, 3DS Max, and SketchUp to create conceptual designs, sketches, and illustrations.
  • Manage project schedules, resources, and workflow to ensure timely delivery of high-quality design deliverables.
  • Manage proposal development from technical write-up to fee build-up and submission.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in wayfinding, public art, landscape, lighting, and digital technologies, and incorporate relevant advancements into project deliverables.
