Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and improve internal controls, ensuring effectiveness and efficiency.
- Assess the risk associated with internal control weaknesses.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to enhance internal controls.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to resolve internal control issues.
- Provide guidance to team members on internal control matters.
- Develop expertise in sectorial or technical areas of responsibility.
- Contribute to the development of industry-related research and thought leadership.
- Lead audits of targeted Auditees, assessing alignment with strategic plans and Dubai Government priorities.
- Present audit reports, disseminating key findings and possible short and longer-term risks at the conclusion of each audit.
Qualifications:
- Relevant degree in finance, accounting, or related field.
- Professional certification (e.g., ACCA, CPA, CIA, CA) preferred.
- Proven experience in internal control or audit management, preferably in the industry sector.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
