Key Responsibilities- Patient Care: Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, performing routine and specialized nursing procedures, and monitoring patients' conditions.
- Medical Support: Assist physicians with examinations, treatments, and minor surgery, and prepare patients and rooms for procedures.
- Documentation: Record pertinent information in patients' medical charts, including nursing history, physical data, vital signs, symptoms, treatments, and reactions.
- Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care and support.
- Inventory Management: Order, store, and maintain adequate inventory of supplies and instruments used by the department.
- Education: Graduation from an accredited Practical Nursing program and licensure as a Practical Nurse (LPN) in the State of Colorado.
- Experience: A minimum of 400 clock hours of faculty-planned clinical experience and guided learning activities.
- Certifications: Practical Nurse License (Colorado) and IV therapy certification may be required for some positions.
- BLS Certification: Basic Life Support certification is preferred.
- Experience: Six (6) months of experience with adults, pediatrics, and/or trauma is preferred.
