About the Role

Climate Policy Initiative (CPI) is a global research and advisory organization dedicated to accelerating climate action. We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Analyst to join our team in Delhi/NCR, focusing on urban green transition, resilience, and disaster risk management.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of climate resilience, particularly in urban contexts, and be able to conduct in-depth research. They should also be comfortable working in an interdisciplinary environment, managing multiple projects, and meeting tight deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Anchoring the urban resilience and disaster risk management work at CPI's India office, identifying new concepts, and developing strategies for their development.
  • Conducting research, collecting primary or secondary data, engaging with stakeholders, and managing stakeholder relationships.
  • Developing knowledge collaterals, concept notes, proposals, and presentations for funders and other stakeholders.
  • Organizing external stakeholder forums to find financing solutions for urban heat resilience/disaster resilience/green buildings.
  • Reporting on program deliverables as stipulated in grant agreements in a timely manner and adhering to quality standards.

Requirements

  • A Post-Graduate degree in Planning/Urban Planning and Development/Urban Policy/Disaster Risk and Resilience/Sustainable Development or equivalent Social Sciences qualification relevant to the aforesaid areas.
  • Minimum 6 years of relevant work experience in the urban sector with focus on resilience/disaster management, including research, policy, project design and development, project costing and financing, monitoring and evaluation, etc.
