We are seeking a highly skilled Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in statutory accounting and experience working in a multinational corporation.
Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Managing accounts payable, including recording invoices from suppliers and submitting payments for approval.
- Managing accounts receivable, including checking sales integration and booking debit notes.
- Booking fixed assets and charging depreciation in accordance with company policy.
- Preparing liquidity reports and submitting them to head office on a weekly basis.
- Assisting in monthly bank reconciliations and calculating realised FX loss and gain.
- Supporting Sales Finance Analyst and Finance Manager with budget and forecast preparation.
- Managing payroll responsibilities, including posting payroll files and making payments to employees.
- Reporting intercompany sales and purchases, and creating invoices for services provided to the parent company.
- Analysing monthly P&L and creating month-end journals to ensure alignment with the trend.
- Managing balance sheet accounts and their reconciliation, ensuring schedules are prepared and tie with the GL balance.
Skills and Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have/be:
- Bachelor's degree as a minimum qualification.
- 3 years of statutory accounting experience in a similar role in a large company.
- Local and IFRS accounting knowledge.
- FOREX knowledge.
- Familiarity with JDEdwards finance, inventory, and fixed assets modules is a plus.
- Sense of priorities, proactivity, and autonomy.
