Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Aquatic Safety Specialist to join our team at Dibba Mountain Park and Resort. As a key member of our pool operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of our guests while they enjoy our aquatic facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Lead and Train Aquatic Staff: Lead and assist in aquatic programming and swim lessons, and train other lifeguards and staff on safety procedures and protocols.
  2. Maintain Pool Equipment and Facilities: Check that all rescue equipment is in working order, ensure the first aid box/trauma bag is fully stocked, and guide staff on how to use lifeguard equipment.
  3. Monitor Pool Activity: Observe the swimming area for dangerous conditions, unusual or unsafe activities, and swimmers who are struggling, and caution swimmers regarding unsafe areas.
  4. Provide Emergency Care: Rescue swimmers in danger of drowning, administer first aid, and provide emergency care and treatment as required until the arrival of emergency medical services.
  5. Ensure Guest Safety: Ensure all guests are registered prior to using the pool, are aware of the rules and regulations of the facility, and are provided with a high level of guest satisfaction and safety through effective communication.
  6. Report Incidents: Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to the manager, and attend and complete safety training and certifications as required by management.
  7. Maintain Pool Cleanliness: Assist in the cleanliness and daily upkeep of the pool area, and ensure the swimming pool is clean and constantly monitored.
  8. Provide Excellent Customer Service: Consistently offer professional, friendly, and engaging service to our guests, and provide swimming lessons and training when requested.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in a related field preferred.
  • Current lifeguard certification and CPR/AED certification required.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a lifeguard or in a related aquatic safety role.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and respond to emergencies as needed.
