  1. Developing and Improving Analytical Methods: Design, modify, and enhance chemical analytical methods and testing procedures to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
  2. Independent Judgment and Decision-Making: Utilize independent judgment with broad parameters to determine the most appropriate analytical approach, adhering to strict quality and regulatory requirements.
  3. Expert Advice and Guidance: Maintain excellent knowledge and provide expert advice on approved analytical procedures to ensure compliance and quality standards.
  4. Supervision and Coordination: Supervise all daily laboratory activities, including calibration of equipment, analysis of samples, and coordination of analytical services provided by third-party laboratories.
  5. Technical and Functional Decisions: Make independent technical and functional decisions regarding the acceptance or rejection of samples and the suitability of analytical procedures.
  6. Quality Control and Assurance: Interpret testing, quality control, and other analytical reports to ensure that quality standards, efficiency, and customer satisfaction are met.
  7. Abnormality Review: Review daily chemical test results for any abnormalities as per specification limits.
  8. Third-Party Laboratory Coordination: Supervise and coordinate analytical services provided by third-party laboratories on non-routine samples.
  9. Intra-Laboratory Quality Control: Coordinate intra-laboratory quality control procedures with peer laboratories to ensure the reliability of chemical analytical data.
  10. QA/QC and Statistical Analysis: Take responsibility for QA/QC of samples and equipment, and provide statistical analysis of required analytical data.
  11. Reporting and Communication: Generate reports and communicate results of analytical testing to concerned sections or departments.
  12. Lab Quality Management System: Perform all required tasks related to the Lab Quality Management system and related certifications.
  13. Training and Development: Provide training for laboratory personnel on testing procedures and proper application of test methods and latest analytical techniques.
  14. Inventory Management and Planning: Supervise and maintain an optimum inventory of laboratory chemicals, glassware, spare parts for instruments, and calibration standards for test methods and equipment.
  15. Lab Purchases and Budget Compliance: Plan and coordinate for laboratory purchases, OPEX/CAPEX, and ensure budget compliance.
