Job Description

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Academic Leader in Midwifery to join our faculty at RAK Medical & Health Sciences University. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching and mentoring students in the field of Midwifery, as well as contributing to the development of our academic programs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach and assess students in the field of Midwifery, including lectures, tutorials, and clinical placements.
  • Develop and implement curriculum materials, including course outlines, syllabi, and assessment tools.
  • Contribute to the development of our academic programs, including program reviews and accreditation processes.
  • Supervise and mentor students in their research projects and academic pursuits.
  • Engage in scholarly activities, including research, publication, and presentation of papers at conferences.

Requirements:

  • Master's or Ph.D. in Midwifery or a related field from an internationally recognized institution of higher education.
  • Significant professional experience in Midwifery as a practitioner, with a minimum of 6 years of post-Ph.D. teaching experience for Associate Professor and a minimum of 1 year of post-Ph.D. teaching experience for Assistant Professor.
  • Excellent command and communication skills in English, with the ability to teach and communicate effectively with students, colleagues, and other stakeholders.
  • A strong record of active engagement in research and scholarship, including recent publications in indexed journals.
  • A valid passport and the ability to relocate to Ras al-Khaimah, UAE.
