Purpose of the Role

We are seeking a proactive and skilled professional to join our team as the Senior Vice President of Quality Assurance. In this influential role, you will be instrumental in driving global standards for food safety and ensuring compliance with legal and operational benchmarks. Your key responsibilities will encompass the formulation and oversight of performance metrics, management of corrective measures, and collaboration with Emirates Flight Catering (EKFC) and our network of catering partners to uphold food safety, Halal, and HACCP regulations. This position demands exceptional leadership capabilities and a commitment to excellence in quality and safety across our operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a strategic framework to enhance onboard quality and supplier performance, focusing on food safety, Halal compliance, and quality assurance metrics.
  • Establish and refine quality benchmarks, including audit protocols, food safety measures, Halal compliance training, and monitoring systems.
  • Oversee ongoing food safety and Halal compliance initiatives, along with supplier evaluations to guarantee product integrity.
  • Ensure the quality of all training materials, promote uniformity in training execution, manage compliance documentation, and oversee the Halal certification process for third-party service providers.
  • Lead food safety and Halal compliance verification programs to maintain high standards of manufacturing and operational practices, including the establishment of a microbiological sampling regimen with prompt feedback and corrective actions.
  • Manage relevant software systems and tools related to catering schedules, crew feedback, menu design, galley load planning, quality assurance, invoicing, and inventory oversight, with a focus on ensuring food safety and addressing any safety-related concerns.
