About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Operations Planner to join our team at ADNOC. In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating maintenance and operations requirements to ensure optimum plant availability and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • You will review and advise on maintenance strategies, including preventive maintenance, and prepare operational inputs for routine and non-routine maintenance, planning schedules, and Turnaround.
  • You will determine maintenance resource requirements and ensure their availability as required.
  • You will review the performance and maintenance costs for the Operations Department plant and equipment and ensure that technical assistance is provided for equipment problems when necessary.
  • You will determine priorities for maintenance work and ensure that maintenance is completed before it becomes high priority.
  • You will review reliability reports and coordinate requirements in liaison with Reliability Engineers.
  • You will screen and approve all work requests to ensure they are clear and safe and that preliminary investigations have been undertaken to justify the request.
  • You will confirm the priority of work requests and ensure equipment return dates are justified. You will develop a periodic (i.e. two weeks) rolling plan and review and adjust it on a daily basis.

  • You will coordinate with supervisors, managers, and employees at all levels to ensure commonality of purpose and direction, ensuring coordination between shifts.
  • You will coordinate the routine and non-routine maintenance requirements of the assigned Operations Department to optimize plant availability and operations, including mechanical (stationary and rotating), instrument, and electrical equipment.
  • You will communicate daily with the Maintenance, Turnaround, Integrity, and Engineering and Process Assurance and Quality Departments regarding maintenance and inspection activities and schedules, and plant reliability issues.
  • You will coordinate the Utilities Department Shut down and Start-up operation for Turnaround, or as required.
  • You will liaise with the Maintenance Department to reduce maintenance activities that do not add value to the concerned Department operations.

Accountabilities

  • You will monitor work execution and provide guidance to ensure statutory and company guidelines and standards are followed.
  • You will study, evaluate, and recommend proposals for plant modification or improvement, including the preparation of appropriate scheduling.
  • You will review modifications requests and comment on the same at different stages.
  • You will undertake audits to ensure contractor compliance with company safety procedures.
  • You will ensure that timely, accurate, and regular reports on maintenance activities, equipment availability, and permit requirements are prepared and submitted to the Operations Department Manager and other relevant personnel.

Requirements

  • You must hold a Diploma in an Engineering discipline or equivalent.
  • You must have at least 4 years' experience in a major processing plant.
  • You must be familiar with international and UAE refinery industry standards and protocols.
  • You must have knowledge of the Oil and Gas Industry.
  • You must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • You must be able to build relationships with staff and contractors with a focus on collaboration.
  • You must have excellent organizational, management, and planning skills.
  • You must have strong decision-making ability.
  • You must be able to manage multiple priorities.
  • You must be able to engage in technical discussions.
  • You must have leadership and training experience.
  • You must have knowledge of business applications including MAXIMO.
  • You must have good verbal knowledge and written English. Knowledge of Arabic is preferable.

Salary

A competitive salary ranging from AED 25,000 to AED 40,000 per month depending on your qualifications and experience.
