The General Manager for GCC Region will lead the launch and expansion of Taptap Send's presence in key sending and receiving markets across the GCC region.

This leadership role requires strategic vision, hands-on execution, and an entrepreneurial mindset. The ideal candidate will oversee market expansion, regulatory engagement, partnerships, and operational setup – owning every aspect of launching new sending and receiving markets in the region.

With profit-and-loss ownership, you will be accountable for achieving ambitious growth and profitability targets. As the 'face' of Taptap Send in the GCC, you will build strong relationships with regulators, financial institutions, commercial partners, and internal stakeholders to establish Taptap Send as the leading remittance provider in the region.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a market expansion strategy for the GCC region.
  • Establish strong working relationships with regulators and ensure compliance with local remittance laws and licensing requirements.
  • Foster strategic partnerships with banks, financial institutions, payment processors, and other key players to enable Taptap Send's market entry and expansion.
  • Oversee the setup of financial infrastructure, working closely with internal teams to ensure seamless execution.
  • Monitor and optimize market performance by tracking key operational and financial metrics.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with product, compliance, finance, legal, and marketing teams to execute strategic initiatives.
  • Represent Taptap Send externally in regulatory discussions, industry events, and partner meetings.

Requirements:

  • 7–15 years of experience in a high-growth technology or fintech environment, ideally in a leadership role focused on expansion, partnerships, and regulatory engagement.
  • Proven ability to build strong relationships with regulators, financial institutions, and commercial partners.
  • 'Own it' mentality – able to execute both at a strategic level and in the trenches.
  • Strong analytical and data-driven skills, with proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets required. SQL, Python, or R is a plus.
  • Deep understanding of the GCC regulatory landscape, financial ecosystem, and remittance market dynamics.
  • Fluent in English and Arabic (essential).
  • Availability to travel across GCC markets periodically and on an ad-hoc basis.
  • Bachelor's or advanced degree.
