Endoscopy Technician

Job Summary

As a skilled Endoscopy Technician at Health eCarears, you will play a vital role in assisting physicians and nurses in the outpatient procedural setting with endoscopic procedures. Your primary responsibility will be to provide support during these procedures, ensuring a smooth and efficient experience for patients and medical staff alike.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist physicians and nurses with various GI procedures, including colonoscopies and upper GI procedures, by completing on-the-job training and adhering to established protocols.
• Prepare procedure rooms for cases, maintain clean examination areas, and ensure the proper functioning of equipment, including cleaning and disinfecting.
• Process specimen handling and scope reprocessing as needed.
• Responsible for maintaining inventory par levels in procedure rooms and restocking endoscopy-related supplies.
• Perform other duties as required or assigned.

Requirements

• High school graduate with previous healthcare experience preferred.
• Ability to anticipate, prioritize, and coordinate work in a high-stress environment.
• Excellent verbal communication skills required.
• Must obtain BLS certification within six months of employment and maintain it at all times.
