**About the Role**

The successful candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering and transmission planning. They will be responsible for conducting power flow studies, developing transmission line designs, and collaborating with substation engineers to ensure smooth integration.

Main Tasks:

  • Plan new transmission projects based on load growth, reliability requirements, and regulatory considerations.
  • Design transmission systems to enhance reliability and resilience against potential disruptions.
  • Evaluate and select optimal routes for new transmission lines, considering environmental, regulatory, and community factors.
  • Collaborate with legal and environmental teams on land acquisition and permitting processes.
  • Develop detailed designs for overhead and underground transmission lines, considering factors such as voltage levels, conductor selection, and tower/pole design.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license is preferred.
  • Proven experience in the design and planning of electrical transmission systems.
  • Familiarity with relevant industry standards and regulations.
  • Proficiency in power system analysis software (e.g., PSS/E, ETAP).
