About the Position

Ghobash Group is hiring a skilled Design Engineer for Fire and Gas Detection to lead the construction and installation of fire and gas detection systems, ensuring compliance with project specifications and industry standards.

Your primary duties will include leading the initial procurement process, coordinating with project managers, electrical engineers, and subcontractors to guarantee timely and efficient project execution. You will also conduct site inspections to monitor construction progress, reviewing and interpreting design documents, drawings, and specifications related to fire and gas systems.

Additionally, you will identify and resolve construction issues, ensuring all activities adhere to safety regulations and quality standards. Your role will involve participating in safety meetings and training sessions, promoting a culture of safety on site.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you must possess a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Fire Protection Engineering, or a related field. A minimum of 10 years of experience in construction engineering, specifically related to fire and gas systems in high-voltage substations, is required. Strong knowledge of fire and gas detection technologies and relevant industry codes is essential.
