Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Geomechanics Specialist to join our team at Oil and Gas Job Search Ltd. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical expertise and guidance on geomechanics aspects of field development plans.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide technical advice and quality assurance for geomechanics aspects of field development plans.
• Develop and propose procedures for minimum tests, acquisitions, and studies required to maintain good geomechanics and rock mechanics models throughout the field's development.
• Review and critique studies related to geomechanics and rock mechanics conducted by external parties.
• Prepare scope of work (SOW) and ensure service company validation, coordination, and follow-up of contracted geomechanics studies.
• Provide assistance and mentorship to the geoscientists community by leading and supporting activities, technical programs, and competency processes.
• Perform geomechanics studies and data synthesis in collaboration with field development before implementation in reservoir models.
• Ensure close benchmarking and provide intelligence on industry's geomechanics best practices and innovations from technology exchanges and experience sharing with operating companies.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a petro-technical discipline, advanced degree is preferable.
• 10 years of experience in geomechanics, international experience is preferable.
