Job Overview

This is a full-time, mid-senior level position responsible for managing purchasing activities for construction projects. Key responsibilities include sourcing and evaluating suppliers, negotiating contracts, and ensuring timely delivery of materials and equipment.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Study project specifications, review drawings and documents, and clarify requirements as needed.
  • Prepare and issue inquiries, analyze quotations, and create comparison sheets for technical, pricing, and scheduling against budget and project specifications.
  • Negotiate payment terms and contract conditions with suppliers, ensuring equal opportunity and transparency in the bidding process.
  • Obtain technical submittals from successful bidders and submit them to clients/consultants for approval.
  • Follow up with subcontractors to ensure timely submission of required documents.
  • Stay updated on market developments and trends.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with new suppliers and subcontractors, updating the database accordingly.
  • Conduct regular re-evaluations of suppliers and subcontractors.
Qualifications

To be considered for this role, you must have a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (mandatory) and a minimum of 3 years of proven procurement experience within the country.

You should also possess strong understanding of procurement principles and techniques, familiarity with industry standards and technical specifications, excellent negotiation and communication skills, strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, effective organizational and time-management skills, and competitive salary expectations.
