Key Responsibilities
  • Design and Development: Develop and implement civil and structural designs, ensuring compliance with industry standards and client specifications.
  • Project Coordination: Coordinate with other disciplines, project teams, and sites to ensure timely and effective delivery of civil inputs, schedules, and related issues.
  • Schedule Management: Monitor and meet project schedules for submissions of civil deliverables, ensuring timely completion and quality standards.
  • Design Basis and Specifications: Prepare and review design basis, technical specifications, and work scope documents, ensuring alignment with client requirements.
  • Design Calculations and Drawings: Prepare and check calculations, general arrangement drawings, detail drawings, and 3D models, ensuring accuracy and compliance with industry standards.
  • Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Attend and participate in inter-discipline meetings, internal model reviews, and model reviews with clients, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
  • Vendor and Subcontractor Management: Review and evaluate vendor and subcontractor bids, ensuring compliance with internal and client specifications and scopes of work.
  • Team Leadership: Lead, motivate, coach, and manage a team of engineers and technicians, ensuring effective team performance and delivery.
  • Project Workshops and Reviews: Participate in project workshops and reviews, such as HAZID/Layout Reviews, 3D Model Reviews/Constructability reviews, ensuring effective collaboration and quality standards.
  • Quality and Compliance: Ensure all deliverables comply with quality standards, as per Wood/Client specifications and standards.
  • Project Execution: Ensure the budget, timing, and quality of engineering works are executed as required, meeting client expectations.
  • Staffing and Development: Implement staffing development plans, assign staff to specific projects or proposals, and ensure effective team performance.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field, with a Master's degree in Structural Engineering preferred.
  • Experience: At least 15 years of experience in Oil & Gas projects design from conceptual to detailed design stages.
  • Skills: Hands-on experience in industry software, such as STAAD Pro Connect Edition, Mat 3D, Foundation 3D, PROKON, 3D Model Review Tools (SPR & Navis Works), MS Office Suite, etc.
  • Communication: Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing, with other disciplines and multinational workforces.
  • Design Experience: Experience in designing different types of concrete and steel structures, including pipe racks, pipe bridges, sleepers, process structures, equipment support structures, equipment foundations, dynamic load structures, equipment shelters, plant buildings, and blast resistance design.
