Job Purpose:

To perform routine maintenance tasks and defect rectification of aircraft in accordance with company and regulatory procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out aircraft maintenance and servicing tasks in compliance with manufacturer and safety procedures, ensuring assigned zones/aircraft are maintained as per latest revisions of approved authority Technical Publications.
  • Ensure all off-aircraft tasks, such as spares handling, robberies, and hold items, are handled in compliance with company procedures and that associated paperwork is complete for full transparency.
  • Carry out component changes as necessary as part of the trouble-shooting process and/or as directed by the immediate supervisor, in accordance with AMM, IPC, or other manufacturer/vendor documentation.
  • Ensure all activities performed are carried out in accordance with all safety rules and regulations and in adherence to company procedures, highlighting inefficiencies/requirements through the effective use of reporting tools.
  • Maintain effective communication with colleagues, including managers and senior engineers, to ensure a seamless flow of information and to highlight any potential operational issues.
  • Manage the performance of staff using the performance review process and system, ensuring SMART goal setting, interim/annual reviews, and development plans are in place for assigned staff members in accordance with company procedures.
  • Attend training/recurrent modules as required to enhance skills and comply with CAR 145 requirements, ensuring approvals are obtained within 3.5 months of completion of the course.
  • Be available for deployment anywhere within the EK operation, including diversionary airfields, to assist in the recovery process of an AOG (Aircraft on Ground) and/or aircraft component manufacturer facilities to act as an EK rep to oversee final assembly Emirates aircraft, supervise outsource maintenance work, and assist in the acceptance/delivery process.

Qualifications and Experience:

Degree or Honours (12+3 or equivalent):

Qualifications in Engineering

  • Aeronautical subjects/Mechanical/Avionics/Electronic/Tech Engineering or Maintenance Engineering Licence.
  • 5+ years of experience in Engineering as a certifying staff, with knowledge/skills including minimum of 2 aircraft type approvals, fully conversant with Air Legislation and legal matters that relate to the operation and maintenance of aircraft to international standards EFTA (Emirates Flight Training Academy).
  • Must have UAEGCAA/ICAO Type II/EASA Part 66 license rated in B1.1 and/or B1.2 categories, and/or B2 category, in addition to company approvals, with rating in at least 1 EFTA aircraft type desirable, plus 9+ years of experience in aviation maintenance.
