Key Responsibilities
- Product Development Strategy: Develop and implement a comprehensive product development strategy that aligns with our business goals and objectives.
- Team Leadership: Lead and manage a high-performing product development team, fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration.
- Customer Engagement: Engage with customers across the board, understanding their needs and preferences, and developing innovative solutions to meet their requirements.
- Product Launch and Review: Lead the product launch process, conducting post-launch reviews, and implementing action plans to mitigate risks and enhance product performance.
- Revenue Growth: Identify revenue-generating opportunities across multiple channels, proactively seeking out products suitable for existing or potential new customers.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with customer and regulatory standards for product labelling and nutritional panel development.
- Quality Assurance: Support the QA Manager in implementing QA and QC requirements for new value-adding operations or process changes.
Requirements
- Qualification: Qualification in Food Science, Food Technology & Processing, or similar.
- Experience: Minimum 8-10 years of experience as an NPD, R&D, and Food Science manager in a large, structured company working with a multi-channel product environment (retail).
- Knowledge: Familiarity with Food Standards Australia New Zealand (FSANZ), food labelling, allergen regulations, State legislation, and international requirements.
- Skills: Proficient understanding of packaging materials and their suitability for various product types, dedication to adhering to safe work practices consistent with WHS policies and procedures, and significant commercial awareness, including experience collaborating with Australian retailers.
