Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement a strategic vision for the radiology department, ensuring high-quality service delivery and efficient operations.
- Monitor and evaluate staff performance, providing guidance and support to ensure excellent patient care.
- Collaborate with the team to plan and implement department policies and the annual business plan, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
- Participate in the initiation and implementation of department-wide projects, driving innovation and improvement.
- Oversee the management of radiology equipment, patient appliances, and aids, ensuring safe and competent use.
- Evaluate and monitor images produced by subordinates, providing feedback and coaching to improve quality.
- Facilitate and supervise the safe and competent use of all radiology equipment, patient appliances, and aids used in the department.
- Coordinate the purchase of supplies and equipment, scheduling on-site demonstrations and assisting in the selection of new equipment.
- Contribute to the annual budget review, tracking and calculating expenditures, and noticing issues and troubleshooting these.
- Develop and monitor quality improvement indicators to ensure continuous quality improvement and compliance with patient care standards.
- Minimum 6 years of post-graduate experience in an acute care hospital, with at least 3 years as a Deputy/Senior Radiographer or 2 years as a Head of a Radiology Department.
- Familiarity with the latest developments in modern imaging modalities and wide practical experience.
- UAE National: Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in an acute care hospital and at least 1 year of managerial/supervisory or equivalent experience.
