Job Summary

Petrofac Emirates is seeking a highly skilled Senior Process Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our commissioning and start-up team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our process systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Understand project specifications, drawings, and other documents to ensure applicability to the scope of work.
  • Keep technically updated through the study of related technical literature, including procedures and guidelines.
  • Perform various activities related to pre-commissioning, commissioning, and start-up under supervision.
  • Ability to perform Job Safety Analysis (JSA) and toll box talk to execute activities.
  • Ability to complete reports and check sheets, receive client's supervisor's approval/signature, and submit to the turnover team for uploading in CMS.
  • Be aware of project-specific procedures, Preservation & Maintenance check sheets, matrix, and schedules.
  • Attend daily meeting with Commissioning coordinator and team leaders to update progress and receive daily reports.
  • Regularly contact with disciplined engineers and supervisors to solve problems related to project worksafely.
  • Ability to lead team of supervisors and technicians to execute work.
  • Perform any other related duties and responsibilities as and when directed by the Supervisor.
  • Ability to gather information on design failures and/or discrepancies.
  • Ability to perform various activities related to pre-commissioning, commissioning, and start-up of process systems, such as chemical cleaning, leak testing, catalyst loading, steam blowing, package unit start-up and operation, inerting, and plant start-up operation & commissioning.
  • Able to perform preservation and maintenance of rotating equipment after equipment commissioning and start-up.
  • Ability to perform various activities related to rotating equipment, like lube oil flushing, alignment, lubrication, vibration checks, start-up, etc.

Essential Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering with a minimum of 2 years' experience in the oil and gas industry.
